A letter to those in a LDR

Dear reader,
I understand. LDRs are not easy but relationships are not easy. Family and friends might even advice against your relationship. While the distance can make you feel lonely and sad, it also makes you appreciate the little things.
Try to communicate regularly. Compliment each other when you can. Be supportive, sometimes you have to overcompensate with words because you can't hold them. Have a goal in mind, living together or living in the same city. Help each other through hard times. Be a good listener.
Remember that being happy with each other feels a lot better than winning an argument. Don't boast on being right, but ask for forgiveness and own up to your mistakes.
Finally, remind each other that you are doing the best you can. Carry on with your lives and make yourself better until you can be together. Work on yourself. Work on your goals. Be all you can be. If you fail, know that you have someone waiting for you with open arms to help you through it.
Just hang on a little longer. The best things in life don't come easily.
P.S. Here's a great link to a funny video that will relate to all of us! Have fun watching!
Sincerely,
Valery
